Parking

Each flat has either a garage or an allocated parking space. These are private and included in the title deeds of each property. You are asked to park with consideration for others at all times, allowing access to other vehicles in the development or to others parking near to you. In addition, you should use your own garage or parking space rather than parking elsewhere in the development.

On occasion, tenants moving into New Cut Rigg have not known which parking space is allocated to the property they are renting. If this is the case and the landlord has not passed on the information, please contact the factors or your letting agent.

Visitor parking

Visitor parking is in the car park to the right on entering the development. This should not be used for residents parking a second vehicle

Owners should ensure that visitors and tradesmen working on their property do not park in spaces belonging to others. If there is no space in the visitor carpark and a space is required – e.g. for tradesmen – owners should vacate their own parking space, remembering that parking on Craighall Road is available and free.

Frequently, people living in New Cut Rigg and visitors to the development park on the roadway within the development. This is inevitable but it is essential to avoid parking on yellow lines, at the corners at the T junction between buildings 1 and 2 and the designated turning area behind building 2. Parking  must not interrupt traffic flow – this is particularly important for bin lorries and on the main entrance/exit to the development.  It is also essential that emergency vehicles, e.g. fire engines, ambulances, have clear access to front and rear of the buildings at all times.

There has been recent damage done to the gardens between buildings 1 and 2 because parked cars have made access difficult for bin lorries.

Owners/tenants and commercial vehicles/large vehicles

As indicated in the title deed, commercial vehicles must not be parked within the New Cut Rigg development. Owners  with commercial vehicles showing signage should park on Craighall Road.  This is also the case for owners with vans or motor homes.
